back again today. i notice a few ppl have been making it here. not many are leaving their thoughts, so i hope that changes. email comments to me as well if you're too shy to put them on the board. and as always, original poetry is welcome and may be put up the next day on the main page for others to see.

Untitled

The warm sun rises, eastwardly I stare.

Flesh into water, one more step, do I dare?

First light, unbelievable beauty, slowly she moves.

Watching intently, she beckons me, what’s to lose?

Memories flash, childhood, love.

Father, mother, can they see me up above?

She’s rising still, slower than the eye can see

Memories continuing, emotion, what’s to be?

Yellow, orange, brightly she shines.

Dim becomes life, who defines the lines?

Life, death, her rays shine through.

One or the other—only I knew.

Red fire ablaze now, her passion screams.

My face, ice cold, where are her beams?

One day, one choice, torment ensued.

Hurriedly I stepped, a decision so crude.

The fire is out, her journey is done.

The score, Life zero, Death one.

Flesh into water, one last step, I dare.

Awaiting tomorrow, the new day, not one care.
