| Darkness cleansed
// Wednesday, Oct. 01, 2003
So much is lost. You turned your back on me When I needed you most. Bringing too much pain To the woman cradling my soul. Her life is eaten away By the corrosiveness, Of the shun you wrapped Around love’s willingness To survive. And yet, damn you! For in your evil is truth. Your darkness shades my eyes not. For in you I find a strange solitude, Where the darkness surrounding my heart, Is cleansed by the very tears it brings. I realize it is not your ways But my own—destroying all that is precious, To me. --Wes Kipler
